Just woundering if any one has every kept one discus by themself.
I recently bought two golderns from my LFS, one passed away I think it was riddled with worms, which I only noticed once I put them in the community Tank, its eyes was cloudy Im lead to believe its a sign of Tapworm, also it had fat lips, I was told this is a bacteria problem, any way it passed away leaving one, which has been in my quarentine tank, at the moment im having a problem in my community tank with green algae.
But in the meantime the other one is doing fine :!:

Discus feel safety in numbers and odd numbers seem to do best if kept in a community tank. (3, 5, 7, 9 etc) See how the little guy goes but if you can get the fish a buddy or 2 it will feel more secure.

In the meantime, try and fix the algae bloom and maybe treat the fish/tank that the dead discus has been in contact with.
