My New discus tank - pics!

ok so i couldn't wait. once my new tank had cycled, and i added some older water from my old discus tank i was off to the LFS....

inspired by some coll aquascaping i went out and sepnt little under $75AU on rock, plants, and pebbles for my new discus tank. some of you might of seen the blank canvas i had to work with in aquascaping. if not here it is..

Those pics are great mate - but I want to know what an ammonium ball too :P

yeah thats it an ammonia ball, it's supose to reduce ammonia in your tank, it's since been removed.

ammonia ball - basically its a plastic ball with carbon in it.


was the LFS whiz bang sales item many moons ago, and probably still is.

Your better off utilising a carbon filter in your cannister for it to be effective in my opinion, but that cant hurt your fish tank regardless.

Stu put your ammonia ball in the filter , it looks neater ....
