Howdy all

Funny story for you.

I got myself a new filter and the flow rate was making a tad more current than was needed. So my solution was to wrap filter wool around the spray bar and tie it off with Red Cotton  .

Now take into account that I didn't cut off the stray ends of the cotton :ug

It was great in theory and work excellent in reality.

BUT

What would a piece of Red Cotton flowing in the current look like????????

You guess it a fresh feed of blood worm...

Now it all makes sense as to why my fishes have been pooing bright red do do's

Sad thing is though is that it has caused a irration of the gut.

Thanks Ladyred for the powers of deduction. :wave2

LESSON LEARNT

DO NOT USE BRIGHT RED COTTON TO TIE ON ANYTHING IN YOUR FISH TANK

mate pop over to your local clark rubber store and find a similar product that wont fall apart in warm water.

I dont like using cotton or coloured cotton for this reason.
