I have been looking at upgrading my 200 litre display tank. A 153cm (5') tank will fit perfectly and was looking at the Aquaone as I liked the woodgrain stand and silver top. Three lights in top (front) with filtration system in the top (rear)

This tank will hold 400 litres and the surface area of the filter seems high. I was thinking of just using my fluval 404 and the return just sent to the spray bar within the top filter instead of using the power head that comes with the unit.

Any thoughts on Aquaone tanks...R2-150 http://www.aquaone.com.au/curvedglass_aqtanks(r2-120_r2-180).htm

cheers

Looks good, but for a planted tank,I think you will have an issuse with the lighting not enough.

Assie what were the problems with the filter ?

The lighting has 3 flouro's built in, thought I would install a reflector on the rear most light to point it toward the back. If lighting was really bad I could remove the filter assembly and put one of those light in an aluminium housing at the rear

Your going to need more then 1 404 on that tank... I'd suggest using both the top filter AND the 404 together.

SLS currently have a R2-150 in store and on special, although it is a black cabinet, not woodgrain
