Nick I had problem with the fry finding parents. But some trick will solve this problem.

i just thought of sumthin:

to get large butterfly hatch rates you should paint the back of the tank white and sides etc. since fry are attracted to blue, brown and other dark colours. then ur parewnts might stand out alot and u might come out with about 200 fry :P

Just an update , they're 4 months old now. Starting to show body patterns.

Some of them dont have a body pattern but showing a light blue colour.

You can see 1 in the picture.

Hmmmm, looks like the little blue fish is a blue diamond throw back...

The Blue diamond was crossed with a striated pigeon to develop the White butterfly/white pigeon strain, so we can se some of these throw backs showing up in the fry now.
