Hi all , I got white butterfly babies here. I had problem also when they were younger. Heres a link :
http://discusforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4162

But for the past 2 days, more babies died.
Water temp is 30C and ammonia & nitrate 0
Im using nitrazorb and ammonia remover in the hang on filter.
W/c is 25% everyday.

There are 4 small bristlenose in that tank. Can they cause death for the babies ??

Can anyone see whats wrong ??
Any thought and ideas will be appreciated.

I noticed that, the ones that died , that were :

1. Smaller than others
2. Turn pale the day before
3. Could not swim properly the day before
4. Stays on the bottom/ corner ( does not swim around )
5. Looks weak. ie : can be touch by hand where other will swim away

Here is the tank :

Dr.V so sorry to hear you are having problems again. They seemed to be doing so well.

How many babies have you lost this time? It sounds like it could just be the weaker and less developed ones dying. It's normal to lose a few during development. Some of the weaker ones just never develop properly.

From yesterday & today .... 6 babies died.

Its very stressing to see them died one by one considering I have not done anything wrong.

But if I look at the parents tank .... another big spawn is ready to hacth in 2 days hehehe....

Merrylin, should I take the nitrazorb and ammonia remover from the hang on filter ??
