Hey all Im wondering to keep a successful planted aquarium what the the correct water requirements for phosphates nitrate's etc. Ive finally gotten my phosphates down to just 1gdh or 18ppm but now i seem to have some green alge forming on the glass and some plants. Its easily wiped clean but i want to keep the aquarium in top shape. Your help is appreciated. I want to win this war against alge

Hey,
that is a very tough question to answer because it would ages to explain it so i will start and if everyone lese adds a little at a time we should be right.
nitrate 10
po4 1

your po4 level should always be 10% of your nitrate level, any higher and you will get algea. try and keep them in balance.
