Spawning Cones

I asked a good friend today this question
Where can i buy some spawning cones and he suggested ebay. I did search for it at ebay and only found two sellers in the usa, i was hoping for something a little closer any suggestions pls

Question though can the clay cone affect ph

Hi Vince,

No problem mate ... to the best of my knowledge clay cones won't effect your PH, I have used them in the past with no effects. I have read in the past some people prefer using PVC pipe or similar due to the fact that clay being pourus (sp) may harbour bacteria and the like, I cant verify that though. I never had any problems when using clay cones. HTH

cheap way to make a spawn cone

1. get a saucer
2. pvs pipe ( cut to desired length )
3. Silicone ( ensure its safe for aquariam usage )

simply glue the pvc on the saucer and let it dry. The saucer will give the pipe the desired balance and will definetly do the job for you.
