what a disapointment

the whole thing is a terrible show, it never goes anywhere

there still on the same island, knowing nothing more, and each week you get the hint that next week you'll find it all out to find out NOTHING

Hmm, let's see...

The 'thing' is apparently invisible (Predator), throws trees around for no apparent reason (King Kong/Mighty Joe Kong), casts a huge shadow as it passes outside opaque windows (Jurassic Park).

The castaways include all the usual 'types' - hero, gorgeous girl (love interest), big loveable slobby guy, unlikeable complaining guy, little clownish guy (a Hobbit, no less!) and so on.

I reckon the secret is that all the people were bad actors who actually died in the plane crash and are now condemned to relive Hollywood cliches throughout eternity.
