Finless discus

Hey guys,

i bought a blue diamond today that was missing a lower fin. I just couldn't let this poor guy sit in a tank by himself watching the worldgo by. Will it grow back? Theguy at the lfs said no, but i just wanted to make sure

I have seen Blue Diamonds missing part or the whole of the dorsal fin which was a birth defect, but never the anal fin.

If there is some sign of fin there, it could grow back, but if it is a birth defect, it will never grow back. Can you get a picture? We might be able to work it out from that.
