i have de-wormed my discus this morning at 8 am. there is now a residue (cellulose) on the bottom of the tank. i have 3 questions.
1. when can i remove this residue
2. do i feed the fish as per normal, i.e. this evening or wait a certain time after de-worming
3. when should i do a wc i.e. how long after de-worming
thanks.....Jim

Hi Jim, you can do a waterchange now. I like to leave the worming meds in the water for 3 days before doing a waterchange.

Syphon off the bottom of the tank well, to remove any worms and egg casings that may have been passed. You will also need to clean out your filter for the same reason, so rinse it out well in a bucket of tank water.

Feeding etc can be done as per normal. You should find they have an improved appetite after passing any worms. :P
