For those of us living in Melbourne I've found an aquarium that sells Blood worms real cheap.

http://www.upmarketpets.com/specials_uma.htm

At $15 for 10 or $2 per pack that's got to be the cheapest arround.

They also sell beaf heart at $4.95 a pack or 10 packs for $44.50.

Wish i lived in Melbourne. Bloodworms here cost $5.00 per pkt., and no-one sells Beefheart. the Minuses of living in the Country (and having slack fish shops!!).

Just a word of warning, for your sake and that of your fishes.

I get allergic reactions when handling bloodworms (rash, swollen eyes, etc) and this only happens if I touch the cheaper variety BW (they are only treated and rinsed once, if at all).

On the other hand, Hikari triple rinse the BW's they use, and I have never had a problem when in contact with these.

It is a known fact, BW has some nasty allergins contained within them, and if I get a reaction to some types, I would hate to think of what they could do to the health of my fish.

Some people can actually lose there vision temporarily due to the allergin affects on the Central Nervous System.

In some people it can also be fatal if ingested (accidently of course).

Hey all, just purchased Fish Fuels BH for $3.95 for a packet @ Petbarn,
and Aqua 1 Gold Blood worms, and Aqua one BS for $4.25 per pack?

What honestly is peoples opinions on aqua one foods? they had orca BW for $3.25 per pack too....

When i put the BH cube in my tank downstairs, my fish didnt give it a 2nd look, and left it? Should i be cutting the cube into smaller pieces or something? i chopped up 1/3 of the cube quite finely and gave it to my bubba discus, and they ate about 2/3 of what i left, i vacuumed the uneaten stuff out...
