Hi Colin, piccies are a must on this forum :P

With waterchanges, I don't stick to a hard and fast rule. It will depend on the pairs. I would LIKE to do a 20% daily waterchange once they have spawned, but some will not tolerate this. In that case I might wait till the fry are free swimming before attempting a WC.

Feeding the parents very sparingly while in the breeding tank keeps the water pretty clean. Once the fry are on the parent's backs, it's not so much of a problem.

When I begin feeding the fry at about 5 days free swimming, I will do daily 25% WC and a final syphon of the bottom of the tank before lights out.

When fry are removed from their parents, I do 50% WC twice daily till they are growing well.

HTH
