hi guys,

i got my discus. i bought a pair of blue diamond's from the oakleigh store

they have been in the tank 2 days now and today i tried to feed them

they hads some granuales, and brine no problems,

i introduced a few small peices of frozeb beefheart they had a peice each.
then the slighly bigger one starights to bully they little one.. the little one swoms a way. lossing the brilliant blue coloring..

i took the peices of BH out of the tank, and now one of them wont stop chasing that other one i'm worried it'll hurt it, and stress it out so much it passes on. it's been 5 - 10 minutes now. and it still cashing the little

is this natural discus behaviour for feeding? if this is how they carry on i'll have to stop feeding them beefheart

any advice/help?

Unfortunately that's just typical discus behaviour.

With only two in the tank, there will always be one dominant fish. Having more that two will help to spread the aggression, so that one single fish is not always being picked on.

They could settle down, or it may get worse. All you can do is keep an eye on them, and if things get worse you may have to put a divider in the tank.
