(pre discus technque)

remove 30% of the water gravel vacing.
used buckets to add clean water used water ager and sure start. water went straight into tank.

new technique

i fill a 60L tub with tap water, add water ager and sure start. add bubble wall. close lid and let it sit until the next change

G'day Stu,

Don't forget to heat water to tank temp before adding to the main tank. You may also want to test your KH (Carbonate Hardness) and if need be raise either by using KH powder or shellgrit. Melbourne water can very soft, once you add your fish you may find the PH will drop over time. If you don't do regular WC's you may find you run the risk of the PH crashing. HTH

I assume you will be getting some Discus soon ! Have fun and let us know how you go.

Cheers,

Dee :)
