Hi. I was planning on giving my adult discus pair a heat treatment (going for a peak temperature of 33 degrees celcius). I have however been give some advice, that heat treatment is to be avoided for adults and only used for young discus. Supposedly it can lead to swimbladder problems in adults. For those of you experienced in giving heat treatments for Discus - does this match with your experience?

I was adviced to give treatment using medications for adults instead. Since I don't live in the US, I don't have access to Metro. Other medications I have previously tried, have not yielded very good results. I've used heat treatment with good results before, so I'm more keen on going that route unless it's ill adviced.
