No no no Leanne. You've got it wrong. You don't get a 6 foot tank to take over from the four footer. You get a 6 footer AS WELL as the four footer :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

4 tanks. I would really like to get a LFS like setup (like SLS) if possible to automate and save space as much as possible . Wonder if we can workshop something like this suitable for discus ... more tanks ... more fish ... less maintenance.

Your right merrilyn, you buy a bigger tank to replace your old one, but keep using the old one.

leanne31 -> $380 ?? is it that cheap in Adelaide ?
I dont think you can get that price in Sydney ??
Maybe because im using mini reef system , it cost too much :P and im a bit fuzzy about brand , always buy good branded stuff like food , heater , etc

Dont forget to turn the lights off at night , your fish may lay some eggs during nightime , just like the owner :P:P:P:P:P:P

Ive looked around at a few places and they all want about $250 for the tank and around $130 for the stand I just thought that was a average price why is it a lot more in sydney is it maybe living in adelaide with our poor water conditions can have some positives.
Oh and if you want a avatar go to the top of this page and press on profile, scroll down to the avartar part and press on that you have to choose a photo off your computer though and it cant be more than 120 pixels I think by memory hope that helps its not that hard.

I have 17 tanks in the house( from 5 to 55 gallons ).......

Getting ready to add a dozen more :wink:

At the moment only 8 tanks are running( 1x 55g, 1x 30g, 2x 10g, 2x 20g, 2x 5g ) .

By this time next year, I should have about 750 to 1000 gallons of water in our 2 bedroom apartment.

Is that too much?

I had 2, then 5, then 10, then 18 and now 35 and I still have to get rid of fish due to lack of tank space. The car sits in the driveway sulking, the wife looks at me sideways, is there any end to this madness. I hope not!

I have 9 tanks, 5 are outside which I hate cause I love to look at them. But when I was at uni yesterday I saw a second hand one advertized, so here we go again.
