36W PondMaster UV Light Question

Hey Guys,

At bit of an obvious question, but I've had a 36W PondMaster UV system running for neally 2-3 years, without the globe failing. From memory the globes last 6000 hours before they blow.

I'm now noticing a lot more alge appearing, and yeah I have the lights running probably 8-9hours during the day.

So the question is even though the globe hasnt blown should I be replacing it or just cutting the hours the lights are switched on.

yeah, its time to change that light bulb.
The light bulb wont burn out after 6000 hours,
it will still glow but it wont be effective...
