growth rate question..

hi gang,

Under normal conditions say feeding 3 times a day and 2 water changes a week how large "should" a 6 month old discus be? cm or inch.


Again..but under very good conditions say water change every 2nd day and feeding heavy say 6 times a day how large "should" a 6 month old discus be?

Rossco, under normal conditions maybe 8cm, under more ideal conditions maybe 10cm or even more at 6 months. Where you will notice the most effect is at full size, the ones grown under ideal conditions could be 20cm or so but i doubt the others grown under lesser conditions would get much bigger than 15cm total.

Thx much Rod,thats good info to me.
My discus are 4 1/2 months age,about 3inch in size atm,give or take 1/4 cm.

I just got a very beutiful white butterfly,seller said it was 5 to 6 months old and its size is about 9 1/2 cm,thats very fast growth.I was worried i might be doing something wrong with the growth rate on my discus.
