Our California Blackworm Farm
I have been asked numerous times where Blackworms come from.
Maybe this will help to clarify. There are two sources of Blackworms that supply the United States. Both here in California. The third is here in Australia. Australian Blackworm. He ships live and also processes Freeze Dried.

The other California Farm is in Northern California. Their worms
are harvested out of the settling ponds of a privately owned hatchery.
Cleaned, and packed on the hatchery property. They supply California
Tropical Fish wholesalers who in turn deliver to LFS's. Some of those wholesalers ship to out of state LFS's who in turn sell retail.

We, California Blackworm Co. is the other.
I supply various Wholesalers, retail Tropical Fish and Pet stores, Institutions and the Hobbyist direct.
We now are offering our Freeze Dried World Wide.

More of who we are and what we do along with Customer and Hobbyist reviews.

These photos are of one of our purging Tanks and our indoor holding Tanks.

From here the Live are brought to another location and held for shipping. To process the Frozen they are taken to a Frozen Fruit processor where they are Flash frozen in 4-6 minutes and packaged for shipping. Larger blocks are frozen to process our Freeze Dried which we are now shipping World Wide, Australia and New Zealand included via our Postal system and FedEx.
