Hi guys,

I've got a community tank with 6 juvi discus, some cardinal, congo and rummynose tetras, clown loaches and a pleco

I was thinking of starting my discus on beefheart but was wondering if it was safe to feed all my fish in the tank beefheart?

sorry, im not very experienced in the food department, ive always just used pellets and frozen bloodworms.

Thanks,
Chris

We feed Merrilyn's beefheart mix to our gang of discus, and the entire tank thrives on it - bristlenoses, catfishes, peppies, various smaller cichlids and the tetras.

Frequent generous water changes are required when feeding beefheart mix - the only downside if you have a 1,000 litre tank :-)

dont slack up on the water changes and you'll be ok.

i sugest switching to a bare bottom tank if you want to feed beefheart

I do the same just have plenty of corries as a clean up crew and you shouldn't have too many worries with excess food.
