At what point is a discus beyond help in relation to stunting?
I bought two discus before looking into what constitutes a healthy well bred and fed fish and basically bought them because i liked the colours.
Dont get me wrong i still like the fish but with my recent updated knowledge ive realised they are obviously stunted. Ive had the fish a few months and seen some growth but is there something i should or can do to optimise growth?
Should i seperate them from the comunity tank and feed them excessively or am i wasting my time?
The fish were about 5cm when i got them and are prob about 7cm-8cm now.
Is it too late for my fish?

Sounds like they're ok, as have grown since you purchased them. May not grow to plate size but should be a decent size when they stop growing.

they'll be fine as fish are ectothermic they keep growing till the day they die. if they are 8cm now (body length) they are already close to adult size over the next few years I'm sure they'll reach 10-12cm
