I'm currently doing a bare bottom fishless cycle, would adding sub-straight (fluorite) from my other set up help speed the cycle process,as I plan on using this sub straight in my new tank. Also is 8-12 ltr of matrix to much media for a three stage sump or more better.Tank 4x2.5dx2w, 5000 ltr hr Eheim compact in sump.thanks rob :?

you dont have to use matrix for all the media, with so much capacity a bag of hydroton from a hydroponics store will only cost $35-$40 for 50L and has a very similar bio capacity. just stick in an open mesh filter bag as it can float for a few days.
