Hey guys just a quick one as i never really kept plants much before. i recently purchased a t5 lighting for my 6 footer and i currently run the lights from 230pm till 11pm during the switch over from standard t8 to the t5 i have noticed the plants are getting alot more algae growth. Should i cut back the hours of the lighting or increase? Or start adding more ferts?

The tank isnt fully planted just a couple of ones basically thought geting the t5 would help the plants grow a bit better.

if your getting more algae growth but plants are ok start reducing your photoperiod in 1/2 hour incriments you want a MINIMUM of 6.5 hours of light a day
