Hi everyone, I got some beef hearts from a butcher and was wondering what size I cut them- I hate the fish to choke on them. I was thinking about 1cm long and about 3mm thick. Is that ok, can they digest that? Mine don't like the prepackaged "Fish Dinner" beef heart from Pet shops and I can't get hold of granules they like either. I've tried Aqua one,Tetra and Sera Discus , but they only like Blood worms and brine shrimp.
Thanks, Theresa

Trim all the fat and sinue off of the beefheart and mince it up in a blender.

Fine mince is the only way to go. It would take you all day to cut it with a knife.

You can pick up an old fashioned mincer from most second hand shops or opportunity shops. I run mine through the medium mincing blade first, then again through the fine blade for a nice even consistency.

You can use a blender or food processor, but I find if you process a tiny bit too long, you end up with mush.
