Hey all

Starting up new tank

Filter will be a via aqua 300 canister

What fish/shrimp could I have??
Would I be asking too much if I wanted discus?

What plants would go well??

Hi Ben,

Full to the brim that tank will give you 56.7 ltr and recommended minimum per adult fish is 40 ltr., and, as discus are a schooling fish I think you are asking too much.

Would make a nice tank for a pair of rams or apistos with 20 cardinals or rummy noses and maybe a pair of bristle noses or lg6 whiptails. You could also house 1 mated pair of discus or angles but nothing else.

It would also be a perfect sized tank for shrimp.

Plants come down to your light at 12 inch deep you can grow almost anything under t8's alone maybe stick to dwarf plants like pigmy chain sword, dwarf bylaxa , glosso, hc or a collection of mosses.

Thinking of getting some cherry red shrimp, 2 peppermint bn or 2 bn or 2 L333.
I will put in some java moss, java fern. Some small anubiis plants.

Could I also put 8-12 tetras in there?

Yeah bristlenoses won't eat shrimp I don't think 104's or other small panaques will either a pair of them and a dozen tetras will be fine
