Just been checking on all my discus. Checked my super red breeding pair and thought I caught one of them taking an interest in the piece of slate in the tank. They stopped as soon as I looked so I told myself it was nothing - didn't want to get hopes up after such miserable luck.

Just went in to have another look and check that everyone had eatyen their dinner and saw this horrible growth thing one one of them, between the front fins (ventral?). It's not very big and looks a bit pink and blobby, kind of like new skin.

Then looked at the other one and it has it to, but a bit different in shape! I'm trying to get pics, but they won't co-operate.

Could this be breeding tubes?

Let them do whatever. in the community tank. Rarely get it right first time. and strengthens their bond.
And forget the music, candles, good food and a nice chardonay works better!

I'd settle for a good cuppa and a good night's sleep - Little Dragon still is not asleep!

Yes you should have some eggs soon unless of course they decide to eat them!
