hey all!

we are putting together a 3ft starphire cube display (middle of the store).

We decided to plumb it (using clear piping).

Was wondering if anyone has any ideas of the neatest, least obtrusive, and quietest way to do this- taking into account the tank will be viewed from all sides, and we need the center clear, for our aquascape plan as an upper rio orinoco biotope.

Sump will be 50% k1:
i was thinking to connect the inflow directly to the uplift of an undergravel plate, secure the plate with a couple stones, or a bag of media and fill with k1, to create the same flow as in a moving bed filter?

Section 2 will be completely bacteria house sticks or ista nano cintered glass rings... depending which surface are is greater (yet to see bacteria house sticks info, but ista rings are 1010m2).

have a look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Pv3u0Sa1tk for a silent overflow system, I've used them for years on my reef tank. And also look here for acrylic tubing http://www.acrylicsonline.com.au
And also here for gate/ball valves http://www.guyco.com.au/index.html

If your using clear pipe just go through the bottom
One pipe say 25 mm for water out and another 20mm for return to tank from sump
