Yes it is Matt. There are lots of treatments and cures. What seems to work best is a 5 day treatment of metro, followed by daily water changes and a more varied diet, which includes a small amount of greens as well as bloodworm, brine shrimp, beefheart, prawns and flake or pellet food.
Is she showing any other symptoms.

no she is fine... only thing is i don't have a hospital tank to treat her in.
if i just leave her as is, will she deteriorate further? becasue other than the appearance, she is 100% fine...seems very happy and healthy

Daily water changes and a varied diet have been know to affect a cure without using drugs, as long as there are no other symptoms like white poo or refusing to eat. Then there is no alternative but to use metro, even if you treat the whole tank.
Is this one of the new fish. The stress of shipping might have caused an outbreak, along with a change in diet.

As far as I know..........
There is no known "cure" for H.I.T.H. disease.
Several diff medications can send the disease into submission......
If optimal water quality and living conditions are provided,
Many fish have been known to live long and happy lives.
I wish you the best of luck.
