Would like to no if this filter is to strong a flow rate for a 300ltr tank with discus in it,flow rate is said to b 1650ltr an hour.Would prefer to over filter.any idea's thanks

In all honesty if your concidering the 2076 pro 3e bite the bullet and get the 2080 pro3, less gadgets to fail and the same flowrate (1200l/h real world flow vs 1700 as stated on the box empty), much bigger media capacity media capicity > flowrate IMHO.

Id rate the 2076 just above the 2228 only because its easier to clean with the integrated pre filter (bio media capacity is the same in both filters) so interms of performance i dont believe you'll see too much of a diffrence (stocking capacity and water quality)

with either the 2076 or 2080 in a 300l tank you'll be turning over the tank 4x an hour which is a little high i prefer 3x but since i've seen people keeping happy discus in a tank with 2 eheim 2228's (my dad on his 340L 4x2x18) and others using an FX5 i dont think flow will be a problem, if your woried aim the spraybar at the glass and you wont have any issues.

thanks,can't stretch the cost that far to get 2080, so will get 2076 pro3 e.
