ok, I have 3 setups ready to go. They will make great desplays in any house or mothers day presies and don't need any special light. I got 2 large and 1 small. They do not need heaters. will swap for other fish that don't need heaters in winter. sorry about pretty bad pics. :shock: :shock: :shock: Can't believe what I am seeing Fighting fish do need to have a heater they are a tropical fish. The temp fluctuation cause the fish a weak immune system, ending in illness.Those trees in there will tear the poor fighters tails and fins to shreds. Sorry mate I would be horrified if this was given to me as a gift. You can argue all you want but this is not how a fish should live. Mods if I get a kick in the butt so be it.

lpiasente, I have been told by LFSs that they will be fine and they have been doing fine fort the last month. the wood doesn't rip their tails either.

Exotic Aquatic, one is male, one is female I'm 99% sure.

You can't keep a male and a female fighting fish together unless it is in a huge tank. Even when breeding the female needs to be taken out straight after the eggs fertalized. :evil: Yes they are fine at the moment but the weather is turning cold and the water temps will drop, THESE FISH ARE TROPICAL FISH AND need a temp of 26-28 to keep the alive long term as they need. Who cares what the LPS says they probably told you that you can keep the males and females together as well. I have had Bettas for years and I know how to take care of them properly and it is definatly not the way that the lps say. Nor is it in a small jar with no filter for water quality a heater for warmth and somewhere nice to rest their weary little bodies. You need to get onto a website like this one for bettas and see how to look after them the right way.
