View Full Version : EXOTIC AQUATIC ONLINE LAUNCH
Exotic Aquatic
Mon Mar 28, 2011, 11:53 PM
Hi guys!! EA is having its official online launch with the arrival of our latest (and very impressive) shipment.
As a show of support for the local hobby Discus Forum members are officially the first to know about it!
Following the arrival of the shipment (details on site), we will release our availability.
Our stock wil not disappoint! we wont sell anything unsightly, we filter out the poorly shaped/poorly patterned/peppered fish to bring you only the best of our ability from our world renown Malaysian growers Lucky Tropical!
Click the image below to find our site!
...We do specialise in discus but make an effort to supply some other aspects of the high end market to keep you guys entertained (more to come).
Comments most welcome (yes even the negative ones from disgruntled industry dinosaurs, we appreciate all of you)

Exotic Aquatic, now iphone friendly!

Tue Mar 29, 2011, 04:15 AM
Site looks really good both on PC and on iphone, but seems alittle slow to load (?quicktime issue?).
I'll be sure to drop in to your living art gallery on my next trip down.
Any idea when you'll be adding your LED range to your store?
Exotic Aquatic
Tue Mar 29, 2011, 04:23 AM
Hey ILLUSN!!
Thanks for your feedback mate, really appreciate it.
The Qtime stuff is slow first time you visit, then onward it gets faster! (untill you clear your cache).
LED stuff might take a while as we are still deciding on pendant designs and color combos in the highoutput globes... however if you want a system that reacts exactly as a MH light (natural looking) i can hook you up with a prototype at cost for being so supportive!
blue/red range is still a couple months off for now.
THanks again!
-Adrian.

Hi Adrian
How long do you think it will actually be until you get the shop up and running?
Regard
Rachael :)

Hi Rachael,
I'd only be estimating, but roughly 3-6 weeks?
Mostly depending on fit out time.
Doing our best to speed this up for you guys
(like doing most of the labour myself at night!)
Hope this helps,
_Adrian.

Good luck with the fit out and I hope it all runs smoothly for you.

or use our online form, either way is fine.
A little early leak ONLY for Discus Forum members, we have several strains in this shipment that have never before been in the country, also something ALTOGETHER NEW for discus fans (and they look awesome) ROCKETEER discus in a variety of flavours. Our emphasis on shape and quality control is sure to impress! Pics on our site tomorrow.

You know the "bulldog" shape is a genetic defect causing impacting of the spine right?
Concider it a defect in the same way as "balloon" trait in rams is a defect.
Still each to their own congrats on sourcing decent stock (I assume they'll be something lipics on the site) and bringing them in!!!!!!
Time will tell wether they catch on or go the same way as "buterfly" koi.

Tue Mar 29, 2011, 02:01 PM
hey ILLUSN
Yeah the bulldog/rocketeer thing was initially a defect (like all goldfish, dwarf gourami, and 70% of the community fish), but now that are purpose bred and sell for 3X the price in japan!!!
Some people hate em, some love em...We certainly cater for everyone. I was a scheptic too, but after seeing them they are definitely awesome! ill post pics tomorrow night.
As far as regular discus go, shape, and quality are very important to us- i believe our stock speaks for itself, not many can or will do what we are doing right now.
It seems the market is becoming flooded with very average looking fish, we'll do our best to correct that.
We dont make any other claims other than that.
Nothing is perfect, but we get as close as we can with what we bring in (we dont buy cheap/old fish) and anything that is subpar will simply never make it to our sale stock. Sure its costly practice for us, but we really hope that our efforts will not go to waste on our clients.
We're all about making this a better, more diverse, and cleaner hobby... Discus are not cheap in comparison to other cichlidae, so they shouldn't look it!

Thanks Rossco!
We are really proud of our stock! We go through alot to ensure only the best of each shipment hits our sales rack.
Looking forward to helping you out, although mosaic marbles are becoming scarce now with all the excitement, so confirm numbers as soon as you can.
i ordered heaps of tigers so no worries there, the tiger size is also VERY good ( i think our supplier in Penang understated that one).
Regards,
Adrian.

Those rocketerrs are horrible, just seems like a marketing ploy to sell off poorly shaped discus which will ruin the hard work put in by breeders.
On the other hand, your other stock looks very nice and if you were in Sydney I'd be paying you a visit for sure.
Keep it up the good work, but maybe focus on standard shaped discus  .

they grow into themselves like awkward teens!!!
But as i said, im quite comfortable with people not liking them, just here to provide variety.
Thanks for the possitive words of encouragement.
