Kh Developer

Hi All,

A number of years ago a bought a product from Seaview Aquariums in Adelaide called Kh Developer. Some time later another hobbyist asked me why I bought it because Bi-Carbonate of Soda which one can buy at any supermarket was actually the same thing and much cheaper.

Just wondering if anyone has further views/information on this as I am looking at slowly increasing the Carbonate (up to 2Dh) and General hardness (between 3 &4 Dh) of my tanks. I am currently running at 1Kh and 1 - 2 Gh. Seeking views on this please.

Your friend is correct. Bi carb is the same thing, however it will not raise your gh. I have a product on my website to increase gh

Thanks for the confirmation. I was aware that it has no impact on Gh.

What is the quantity/weight of your Tropic Marin Pro Discus Mineral?

There are 2 sizes.I think 250 and 500 gram

Only the one pack featured. The site says you have 50 with a weight of .55. I imagine that is 500 gram at $45. Please confirm.
