New Fishchicks list

Hey guys & gals,

Today I got a sneak preview of the latest shipment of dwarves from Fishchicks. Most of these species are not in store yet, so for all cockroaches and mexicans you have the chance to get in before we Brisbanites snaffle all the good fish (too late for some :D ).

Viejita II (Really super red macmasteri) Seriously stunning people.

Alacrina (Mike Wise believes they are sp. 'rot punkt' ) Very nice looking fish.
Agassizii "Rio Tefe red" - will put up photo later.

A couple of other notables, wild Heckel discus and Scalare (body about the size of a 50c piece). Oh, and there are quite a few badis ruber.

The standout fish for me, were the Viejita II (I can't stress enough how awesome some of the dominst males look), the Alacrina and all the Pelvicachromis variants.

Is that the RioTefe Red ? Wildcaught? Quite amazing. Tho I must admit a lot of the aggies Ive seen lately are really yellow, not much of the reds and blues at all. Saw some aggies in a LFS here and they were insipid.

Hi Steph,

Yes, that's the aggies being sold as Rio Tefe "Red". Tank bred though, not wild caught. There is also some debate as to whether they are actually a Rio Tefe line or a line bred line.

I have a pair as well, and my guess is they are a line bred fish. I'll try and get some photos of my pair when I get a chance.
