Hi,
my fish tank wasn't running for 6 months and i have just got our electricity bill and it was $339. With the 1 tank running its normally around $619 and i have always told my wife its not the fish tank that is causing the high electricity bills. This trial has proven me wrong i knew that the fish tank would make it higher but not that high. Its probably low compared to some people on here with multiple tanks.

Cheers Tim

concidered high output LED's George? having a play with them now for a super high light planted tank, looks like a 20% power saving over MH, and no bulb replacement costs. It would take a little stress off your chiller aswell. awesome looking marine tank.

Bulb life is unmatched by any MH/Fluro/Compact!! Agreed.

Light intensity..hmmmm you need a massive amount of LED to replicate the brightness of MH - which kinda makes the power savings negliabe.

Colours - dial in exactly what you want with LED - Absolutley brilliant!!

Although Im watching all the progress with LED in a fast changing market, Im just still not sold on the overall comparision/proformance - hence Im still paying the price.. lol

Thanks for your comments. I can post the Tank Journal here if ppl want to see it.
