Bayfish have the importation rights for Glasser Aquarium so those of us who deal with LFS who deal with Bayfish can order (eg: beg & plead).

Hey Apistoguy, I am considering the A.eremnopyge. A very interesting Apisto but decidely difficult from what I know of them. I reckon a couple of trios might work. I know this specie was available earlier this year thru fish-chicks but I have not read any posts about them being bred. The elizabethae is always a terrible temptation  and the bitaeniata orange - hmm, please santa, I've been good 8-)

Hello,

Can you confirm that these are actually Jurensis or are they blackchin.
All the German apisto sites, mention that Jurensis in the hobby is all Schwarzkinn or Blackchin. Thanks jk

I would put money on them being black chin.

True Jurensis is not a common fish anywhere in the world.

From what ive been told, bayfish are unsure as to there true identity exactly as glaser has named them jurensis and thats what they will be sent to australia as.
I believe they are most likely "blackchin" but until they arrive in australia and the biologist guy at bayfish emails me some pics to look at I wont know. I await in anticipation.

Ahhh the A. elizabethae. My achilles heal of apisto's. How I long for thee! (or some of Th0mas' offspring 8-) )

and the wild Cacs would be worthwhile somebody getting too if they in fact even exist. They are on almost every list and never, ever seem to turn up anywhere.
They would go a long way to cleaning up all the inbred cacatuoides rubbish around the place

Hey mate - it ain't the money we need growin' on trees - its tank space we need  well that and an understanding spouse, the money would help but yeah, mate, tank space, hmm.

hmm. yeah well I can't argue with that. I've seen some god-damn aweful apistos at aquariums here. I am still somewhat regretful of off-loading my last triple-red strain which were really nice and I must admit some of my existent orange-flash are really pretty but.....I am seriously thinking of off-loading them all to make way for "other things". Its somewhat of a relief however that those god-damn aweful fish ain't encountered too often. To advise other Apisto breeders - its always good to add a nice new fish to your colony to keep the gene pool clean.

I sold some fish to a fella yesterday who bred his triple-red cacatuoides and one came out yellow instead of red (apparently).

take care
