I've got 4.2kw of solar pannels on my roof these generate an average of 20Kw a day, this is close to the ammount of power my fishroom uses.

my electricity bill has dropped from ~$1200 a quarter down to ~$250

I work for a solar installation company. My advice is if you are going to do it get a wiggle on as they are currently reviewing the 60 cents per kW get your form into country energy asap. Putting in an application doesn't lock you into getting it but it ensures that you get the 60 cents until 2017.

No worries mate out of pocket expense was just under $27000 but I insisted on the biggest panels I could get so it only took 14 panels to get 4.2kw. I have room for another 10 So I'm thinking of putting another 10 318w panels on + a second inverter this will give me 7.38kw but is going to cost another 22k

you could do a 4kw now for ~$16000 prices have dropped alot since november 09, i had to be stubborn and go for the biggest and most efficent on the market, they do look cool though :)
