A question for Illusion
I have 3 peppemints 2m 1f. They don't really have many white dots on them and their tails are all black not white at all. Is this because they are not good quality?

I can't get a pic unless I net them. Are there different types of peppermints?

the spots fade with age, as does the white seam, with good water and good diet they will look their best, bright white spots the size of pin pricks all over a velvet black fish. they will always be more pronounced on the fins.

try upping the water changes, mine really look their best when they get 20-25% every 2 days. usually it trigger a spawn or 2 as well.

They are in with my discus so maybe they aren't all that happy. maybe I will set them up in a tank of their own. I have had these guys since they were wee pups they are about 1 year old now.

What temps and ph get them spawning? Should I put both males in with the female? I hadn't considered breeding them until now
