Hi all,

What's the best solution to disinfect plants apart from PP / bleach ?

Are there any products in the market that I can purchase at my lfs ? I know there's a product called 'jungle clear' but I can't seem to find it.

Thank you all.

I give them an overnight dip in a weak solution of Alum. Some say it is easy to get from supermarket or chemist but my local chemist had to order it in for me.
Cheers,
Scott

what are you wanting to disinfect your plants from ?

Do some research on Potassium Permanganate (available from your pharmacy) AND ensure you read all the insructions before opening. It ain't exactly friendly stuff.

take care

You can use them in a 10% bleach solution dip in a few minutes, rinse well and put them in a bucket of water with a double dose of dechlor. Bleach will kill snails, their eggs, and other unwanted pests, but is not harmful to plants too short for a period of time.
