Hi I used to keep discus but now only keep stronger South American cichlids :D I am however in the process of setting up a 3ft planted tank which will more than likely contain a few pidgeon bloods :D Back when I first got into fish I kept discus and they did very well, i managed to spawn them a couple of times but they ate the eggs :( We then moved house and because of the water at my new place i lost my female discus and a couple of others. I then sold the rest and have never bought any more.
Interestingly enough I have been to a discus farm in Singapore called Chai discus farms http://www.chaidiscus.com.sg/ which was an interesting experience. They do 90% water changes every day!
Cheers

Hi discusdude, nice to meet ya!
That's a sharp looking tank. I really like how you used the driftwood branches to simulate roots. 8)

So they are actual roots? I thought they were driftwood.

They are from a tea tree. But they are branches. I grabbed them after they were cut down by someone.

I absolutely love the look of the roots! Thats the kind of effect I'm wanting to go with in my SA biotope tank.
