hi all
this is getting annoying
my discus pair and on about their 15th attempt to make wrigglers

i got my phone out and filmed the female laying eggs and the male swimming over them and i guess doing his thing but still after about the 15th time of laying eggs they
still havent made wrigglers

the male looks like he is doing the correct thing but the eggs are just not getting fertilised
could the male know what to do but still be to young to fertilse
or could he be infertile or just to young like others have said

i have 2 discuses in the other tank which are similar size
should i put them in the tank with the breeding pair to see if anyhting changes
also in my other tank we have a large discus which is not doing much
i did a water change and had to turn power off for 10 minutes and then had to do something urget because of the kids and forgot to turn power back on till the next day stupid me
and since then the largest discus has not looked to good
he has stopped eating and just hangs near top of tank but he is still vertically and sometimes moves into his cave which means he might come good
the other 6 dicsuses in that tank and all ok

what i have noticed in the past and also today

there is about 100 or so eggs
about 40% of them are clear colour and 60% are browny clear colour
so they could be 2 batches one from each discus
but its weird that they would both lay eggs at same time

anyway see what happens with 4 in the tank
and if they get agro ill split the 2 females if they are females

yer i was thinking that

they just laid another batch of eggs and they didnt get fertilised again
so i guess ill try to remove the male before the female lays her next batch
and see if any of the 2 discus i put in the breeding tank have a working doodle hehehehe

thanks for all the help
