Hi,

Lately my discus pair have been breeding successfully. However, overnight the fries will disappear. Would the parents have eaten the fries? or something with the tank parameters?

PH: 5.8
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Temp: 30 degrees
Water change 50% once a week.
Tank size is 4x2x3
7 discus inside the tank.
Gravel tank.
a couple of fake plants and drift wood

I feed the parents beef heart mixture, dried blood worms and staple fish food.

one of the parents ate them, if the female lays again within the next few days it was her, take her out after the next spawn and let dad raise them on his own, have heaps of bbs ready for when the fry start to free swim

Maybe it was one of the other 5 discus in the tank.

Whats your nitrate reading?

LMAO didn't read the post propperly, stick your pair in a 2 footer with just a heater and sponge filter before you try to breed them.
