Hi Everyone,

Would like to ask for your opinions again. Does lave rock chips substrate suitable for discus?

I know that lava rock chips substrate is good for biological filtration, but not sure whether it suits discus or not.

Thanks.

All the bests to all your discuses,

you'll have to test them scoria is stable eheim lava chips are stable any others might not be.

A quick home test we used to use many years ago was to pour vinegar in the rocks if they fizz they are not stable, the rocks should be inert, no reaction to anything, then it is stable for a tank. HTH

BTW - Discus prefer sand.
