I use hydrochloric acid to bring the ph from my tap water down. Does this contain phosphate? I have to use something to bring it down ph out of the tap is 9. I am getting a bit of black hair alge and I HATE it.

HCL has no phosphate, black beard algae (BBA) is due to too little carbon in the system, try adding florish excell or CO@ of you just want it dead fast dip all the effected wood/filterbarts/ornaments in a solution of hydrogen peroxide bout 100ml in a 10L bucket of water for 1 hour.

thanks I have dino pee and spit one of those is carbon, I will start adding that. :D
