Seems we all have many different methods of feeding MBW (Mal's BlackWorms) to our discus.
2 Methods which I employ include:
a) Dry MBW.
Place a generous amount into a container http://img5.imageshack.us/i/mbwfeedamount.jpg/. Grab a little and roll into a ball the size of a cherry seed http://img9.imageshack.us/i/mbwdryball.jpg/. Holding the ball, submerge into tank. My discus come at speed to feed from my fingers pulling at the ball! http://img3.imageshack.us/i/mbwdryballfeed.jpg/

b) Soaked MBW
The same generous amount in a container. Boil some water and place just enough to cover the dried blackworms. Within seconds the blackworms will be well soaked http://img3.imageshack.us/i/mbwboiled.jpg/. Mix with a little tank water (to bring the temp down) and then slowly pour into tank. Again, discus come at speed to feed. http://img3.imageshack.us/i/swarmingformbw.jpg/

Obviously inserting the [img] tag doesn't always work...

Hi Pixeltoy,
What suits me the best is to mix the blackworms in with their beefheart mixture after it is defrosted. I usually do about three days worth at a time. As the beefheart mix is sort of sticky, the blackworms don't escape to float on the surface. The fish love it.
