Hi,
I have a 5ftx18"x2ft tank for sale. It was my much loved heavily planted tank. A while ago the silicon went bad and it drained from the bottom :(.
I asked an aquarium shop and they told me it can be easily fixed by cutting the old silicon out and laying a new bead and it should be fine. I unfortunately no longer have the time to fix or maintain a tank of this size - I am also selling my other tanks.
It comes with the pine stand, cover glass, foam and hood.
The hood is home made. Its made out of pine, the top of it is made up of multiple layers of shade cloth to allow good ventilation and still blocking most of the stray light.
As you can see from the pics, it is a 2 piece unit connected by hinges to allow the front half to be opened for maintenance.
The hood currently has 2 x 2FT double fluorescent battens in the front half and 1x 3FT and 1x2ft double fluro batten in the second half.
You could add more light if you wanted, I did also have 2 x 55Watt 2ft compact fluros installed but I have removed them, to sell separately or keep. It was a total of about 300W
Other than that it has one scratch on the front glass about 2 inches long but you can always turn the tank around. The glass is a little grubby in the pics, just needs a wipe down.
I need to sell asap.
I will also provide the gavel that was in there originally, it has been rinsed. Its mixed light brown about 5mm.
