Hi Guys and Gals. well the 5 discus have settled into the tank well, it took about 2 weeks for them to feel at home and are now darting to the front of the tank when ever I go near looking for food.
They are looking magnificent I must say.
So my question my sound silly.
Can I over feed them with live food?
I don't mean all in one sitting, but if I feed them live food almost every day is this a problem?
At the moment they get a cube of frozen blood worms in the morning and either a serve of brine shrimp or more often then not black worms for tea.
They don't seem interested in colour bites or flakes, "then why would you when live food is on the menu"

Get a hold of some beef heart or make some! it will keep them happier and healthier. it will also keep them full longer due to high protein.

live food can carry parasites a good beefheart/shrimp based mix is best.

Have a look at some of the great beef heart mixes here. There are a few that have been made into "stickies"
