what background should i get for my discus tank

hey guys,

i have a 4 foot planted tank and wonder what colour i should get for my back ground. i have heard(not sur eif it true) that discus tend to go darker with a darker background. just wondering what is the best colour to use to bring out there colours best.

if you dont have any pigion based fish then go black, or a nice printed background with drift wood tangles and roots etc
