Hmmm...they are really difficult to sex...even at that size...so no guarantees

Many have already been sold and theres a good chance that theyll all be gone by the end of this weekend.

Where is Currans Hill near? Hubby in Sydney goes between Windsor and Belfield, Anywhere along there?

TW: they are poopers like all bristlenoses but dont seem to be as bad as common bristlenoses

Location: Currans Hill is near Campbelltown...I sort of know where Windsor is but have no idea where Belfield is (only been in NSW for a little over a year  )

Ive pretty much sold all the bigger 6+ cm ones...theres still a fair few 5 - 5.5 cm (some are 6 cm) left.

Mike

Love the look of pepermints, but it's always the pooping issues that has me hesitating. How big will the pepermints grow?

Do you have any apistos at the moment? I haven't been able to make contact with Th0mas for a while now.

Thanks Jothy & Mike

Hmm, Mike I really would love one of your peppermints, but I didn't know they would grow so big.

Jothy or Mike, at 16cm, do you need to give up a discus in the tank in exchange for a peppermint. For example, if the tank is large enough for 7 discus, would I have to give 1 discus & only have 6 up to make room for a 14-16cm peppermint?

Any apistos at the moment Mike?

peps are bottom feeders and dont use up much space, peps are REAL plecs and as such poo more than they eat, i wouldn't put them into a tank that was hard to clean, also peps are super sensitive to metro i wouldn't put them with discus personally, but many people do and their fish (discus and peps) look great.

if your worried start with some, if they get too big or messy or incompatable you can always sell them, peps are one of the easiest fish to move, a mature male is worth an easy $70. just food for thought.

If I take a pep, it will have no choice but to be in with the discus, as all may tanks have discus. Do peps do ok on their own, or do they need to be with more of their own kind?

You can have a single peppermint without any issues
