Congrats Lillyd, but no need to painic.

You can carry on water changing and feeding as normal, make sure you remove any left over food after half an hour. Water quality needs to kept high. Only remove enough water so that you do not uncover the eggs.

I would not use meth blue, I never have, and find if you have good water there is really no need.
You can cover your sponge filter with a white stocking, not filter floss, and once the fry have attached to the parents, remove the cone, or any othe object in the tank, apart from the filter & heater of course.

I would look into getting some BBS ready, try to feed them the BBS after a few days on the parent's backs.

Hi hollowman thanks for the tip with the stockings that is a great idea. I will keep up with the water changes and not bother with meth blue. 1 day down 2 to go. Will get my brine shrimp going tonight,

meth blue is only needed if there are a lot of infertile eggs (these turn white after 24hrs) otherwise you shouldn't use meth blue, if you do use it at 1/2 the dose on the bottle, its never effected my filters.
